Movie Trailer: 50/50 (2011)

The darkly funny and heartwarming trailer for 50/50 has been made available by Summit Entertainment today. Based off of screenwriter Will Reiser’s real-life experience with cancer, the film centers around a young man named Adam and how he, and his friends and family cope with an abbreviated Five Stages Of Grief — shock, denial, resistance and acceptance. Oscar season is far in the distance but with a heavy theme and a strong cast, 50/50 may be an early contender.

50/50 stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, Philip Baker Hall and Anjelica Huston.

50/50 plays to US theaters on September 30, 2011.
