Tony Stark, everyone’s favorite egotistical playboy and savior of the world, is making an appearance in a little movie titled Iron Man 3. Today Marvel and Disney unveiled the first trailer for the blockbuster and it delivers. Due in 2013, the armored superhero (played again by Robert Downey Jr.) supposedly after his “Avengers” adventure, faces off with his most powerful enemy to date, Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). During this battle he’ll have to re-evaluate all he knows and risk losing all that is near and dear to him. The trailer is below and will definitely leave you wanting more.
Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Jon Favreau, Stephanie Szostak, Rebecca Hall and James Badge Dale.
Iron Man 3 saves the world, US theaters on May 3, 2013 and UK theaters on April 26, 2013.

Fuck yes it leaves me wanting more! That’s a trailer done right.
Mandarin obviously figured out the best way to defeat a foe is when he is at his weakest. Attack him when he isn’t in his armor, eliminate Iron Man.
Has a more serious tone to it than the previous two. Guess the Avengers stint fed Stark some humble pie.
Looking at one’s mortality will do that to you.
He thought he was going to die when he flew into the portal with the nuke. He’s got a new lease on life and doing things differently now. Should make for some new character dynamics.
After a near death experience you tend to reevaluate your life. Marvel has always been good with depicting realistic human behavior in the superheroes.
Wasn’t Mandarin of Chinese descent?

Holy hell, they’re integrating the Extremis armor into the storyline.
Pepper Potts is gonna die making Tony Stark’s transformation from an asshole to a full-time hero complete.
She is the key. We’re three movies in–something is definitely going to happen to her.
I’ll have to revisit the first two films – after watching this trailer 6 times I’ve a new respect for the Iron Man franchise…

Ben Kingsley is an interesting choice. I thought he was a lousy villain in The Sands of Time but I think he’ll take Mandarin in an unexpected direction.
Don’t know how they’re doing it but it looks like Marvel has outdone themselves again.

This trailer confirms part 3 will be better than the first two Iron Mans. Part 1 was too slow, part 2 was too comicky.

Brilliant. Iron Man is going to have his hands full with The Mandarin.
Strange pronunciation though.
He’s definitely emphasing odd syllables. Sounds kinda cool though.
What I don’t understand is how a single hero story can continue to work now that the Avengers have been established. To fight any one of the members, especially in such an obvious way, would equate to fighting them all…
Without thinking too hard about it I can come up with two ways:
1. A coordinated attack against each hero individually by multiple sources.
2. Individual members could be off on critical missions that can’t be postponed.
I soiled myself. Damn.
Reminder Tecumseh, it is just a movie. Now go clean yourself up.
Did anyone really think this trailer was going to be anything short of spectacular?
