A three-minute long spoilerish trailer for the sci-fi horror pic Prometheus has gone viral today. In it, the alien intelligence that beckoned us (meaning humans) to the farthest reaches of the universe prove to not be friendly. As a matter of fact, it seems they somehow want to use us to repopulate their species and provide to them a means to get to Earth. In other words — we’re screwed! But with a stud cast, intense visuals, and a story-line that cuts to the heart of existence, getting overtaken by an advanced civilization is still sure to please all walks of moviegoers. Watch the trailer below at your own discretion though, as mentioned, it may offer up too many of the movie’s secrets (although I’m fairly certain there are plenty of surprises yet to be revealed).

Looks awesome but I don’t see it getting attention from anyone other than those in the science fiction crowd.

It does seem spoilerish on the surface but I’m willing to bet there is more to Charlize Theron’s character than meets the eye.

It looks a lot like Alien only with a different alien species. Coincidence that Ridley Scott is at the helm?
Intense trailer. There is a lot going on so I doubt highly that Ridley Scott gave away farm … then again you never know!
I’d eat my right arm to get at Theron.
