Movie Trailer #2: Iron Man 3 (2013)

There are still two months to go before Iron Man 3 reaches theaters, so to keep the armored crusader on the mind of moviegoers everywhere the marketing department of Walt Disney Studios has released a second action-packed trailer. The Mandarin played by Ben Kingsley plays a more prominent role this time around, showing fully his ruthless core will stop at nothing to get what he wants. The trailer also plays on Tony Stark’s new found humanity and love for Pepper Potts. The two spectacularly mix, making for an unforgettable tease. Stick around for the end too (not that you wouldn’t have) — the Iron Legion makes a guest appearance!

Mandarin looks like he’s going to be great villain for Iron Man to face off against.

Cerebral villains are always better than the brutish ones.

Not always so. Recall The Riddler in Batman Forever.

Wondering whether any of the other Avengers will make a cameo. There has to be a tie-in to the other heroes’ films in there somewhere …

It isn’t Pepper’s fault. Had Tony Stark not had the ego the size of a football stadium and kept his identity secret there would be no threat.

Marvel has the best superheroes and they’ve done a masterful job of interconnecting them all through their movies. DC has a lot of catching up to do.

What the heck is up with the way Mandarin talks? Sounds silly to me.

Not silly at all. Deliberate. His slow cadence and off syllable emphasis forces you to listen more intently to what he is saying.
