Movie Trailer: The Wolverine (2013)

Wolverine versus samurais. And a host of other bad guys too. It’s all teased in the first trailers for the much anticipated Marvel flick, The Wolverine. Having struggled with immortality and his love for Jean Grey, Logan (Hugh Jackman) travels to Japan to finally face and make peace with his demons. He’ll also face off with some unexpected foes. The film, based on a four-issue mini-series by Frank Miller/Chris Claremont, will include deeper character development (a staple of Marvel characters) to accompany the intricate swordplay and the sure-to-be abundance of action. Embedded are two trailers — domestic and international — that are sure to start the hollers that the summer blockbusters need to arrive sooner than later. Check them out!

The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Famke Janssen, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tee, Hal Yamanouchi, Rila Fukushima and Tao Okamoto.

Not impressed although it at least looks better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

They could stage this in a box and it would be better than X-Men Origins.

An emotional Wolverine, boo-hooing because he is immortal? This movie is taking a turn I’d rather not see it make.

Wolverine is a deeply troubled hero. I like that they’re exploring this instead of having him disarming a nuclear bomb and fighting some nameless spandex wearing supervillain.

CGI looks abit suspect but I like the more serious tone they’re taking with the character. I’ll stay cautiously optimistic until I see more.

International trailer so much better than the domestic. Why such a difference between the two?

Is there really such a thing as international or domestic when both are released to the internet? EVERYONE sees EVERYTHING the instant it is available.
