Somber is the mood in the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame and rightfully it should be. As you should recall, Thanos — after piecing together the Infinity Gauntlet — has eliminated half the population of Earth and decimated the ranks of the superhero team at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War.” The remaining Avengers and anyone left who can fight must regroup and devise a strategy to stop Thanos from purging other planets, and, if at all possible, undo the effects perpetrated on Earth. How they hope to do it with so few left in their ranks is a closely guarded secret, but it will surely be helped along with the emergence of Captain Marvel. Watch the hopelessness for yourself in the embedded trailer courtesy of Marvel Studios.
