Movie Trailer #2: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

The second official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has landed and while it still doesn’t spoil any plot points, it does offer up more of a taste of the action to come. Peter Parker (Tom Holland), still coming to terms with his place in the superhero hierarchy, tiptoes between doing what he feels he has to do (the old “with great power comes great responsibility thing”) and listening to his mentor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), who is telling him to cool his jets. A lot of attention is given to Vulture (Michael Keaton) this time too, who is possibly trying to recruit a confused Spider-Man to his side. More details to follow, but in the meantime take a look at the latest courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Michael Keaton, Bokeem Woodbine, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress and Michael Chernus.

Official Synopsis:
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in “Captain America: Civil War” begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man — but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming re-webslings into our hearts in US and UK theaters July 7, 2017.

They should do away with trailers entirely. Drum up attention with the release of posters and clips no more than 15 seconds in length. Marketers are spoiling too much of the movies. Always trying to outdo the last one….

I like the innocence Peter is showing. It will make his ascension to full superhero that much sweeter. :)

Vulture isn’t trying to sway Spider-Man to his side, he’s just explaining to him his motivations. Monologuing 101. Hopefully he’ll be a much better villain than Green/Hobgoblin/Rhino/Electro//Venom/Sandman were.

To much Iron Man. He is becoming the Wolverine of the Marvel universe.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to see it, but I’m not so enthused about it.
