With “21 Jump Street” being the surprise hit that it was, there could be no doubt a sequel would follow eventually. Today, Sony Pictures shows us what they have in mind with the first red-band trailer for 22 Jump Street. Slacker cops, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) have graduated to college! Yeah, not too much of a stretch, but why fix something that isn’t broken. As can be seen from the expletive-ridden trailer, the boys have a new drug trafficking case to crack that offers them plenty of new opportunities to make fools of themselves in and in most instances these opportunities result in some good laughs. Check out the trailer and prepare to go back to school.
22 Jump Street stars Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ice Cube and Amber Stevens.
Official Synopsis:
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case — they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
22 Jump Street infiltrates US theaters on June 13, 2014 and UK theaters on June 6, 2014.

21 Jump St was the first and only movie I liked Channing Tatum in. This will be the second.

I would have prefered a different setting. Locating at a university is a copout (no pun intended).
