Don’t mess with a troubled telekinetic. It’s solid advice like “don’t piss in the wind” and someone should have given it to the popular kids in Thomas Ewen High School before they went ahead and messed around with Carrie, the titular character in Carrie. Today Screen Gems released a teaser trailer for their horror remake, but sadly we don’t get to see Carrie do anything special. We do get to see how much damage a young girl can do, though. Watch for a taste of things to come.
Carrie stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell and Gabriella Wilde.
Official Synopsis:
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
Carrie burns down US theaters on October 18, 2013 and UK theaters on November 29, 2013.

I’ll stick with the Sissy Spacek version, thank you very much.

The original gave me nightmares when I was a young girl. Hopefully this remake will scare a new generation….

Is it so hard to come up with another original horror movie involving a girl with telekinesis? Why does a classic have to be remade?

I don’t see how it is possible for Chloë Grace Moretz to do a better or as good a job as Sissy Spacek. Spacek was nominated for an academy award for her role as Carrie!

They’re not asking her to. They just need her to do a competant job.

Won’t do better than the original nor should it. Original was great.
