Movie Trailer: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)

It always seems like there is always another species trying to take over the world. It’s usually some alien race from some distant galaxy but in Twentieth Century Fox’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes it is home-grown apes. The genetically modified ones we saw get created in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” of course, but apes nonetheless. In the short trailer, Gary Oldman and Jason Clarke try to align the last remnants of man for a final push against Caesar, but I’m willing to bet it isn’t going to go over too well for them. At least audiences will once again get some fantastic visual effects from WETA Digital to go along with the fight to subjugate the human race. Judge for yourself.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, Andy Serkis, Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

    Well that was underwhelming.

Tossing James Franco to the curb was a good move. Replacing him with Gary Oldman was an even better one. Now this stands a chance to be good.

I know as a human I shouldn’t cheer but I’m looking forward to Caesar finally bringing the pain!

Great trailer. I like the 10-year fast forward and the elimination of Franco’s character. Caesar can come into his own now.

Without the Franco character my fear is this is going to devolve into a basic action film. He was the human bridge to Caesar, his friend and teacher. Now Caesar has no reason to weigh options. All he is going to do, as the trailer shows, is crush the humans he no longer has any connection to.

Unimaginative and the title orders is reversed.

The first movie should have bore the title Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. This movie should be titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Detailed CGI does not a movie make.

Tell that to Hollywood. Damn near every movie made today is overloaded with CGI.

Well, this movie makes me want to believe our evolution comes from Cesar, i mean from the apes. Just kidding. Anyway,I enjoyed The Rise of planet of the Apes and surely will love this one and the kids too.
