Movie Trailer: This Is 40 (2012) - The Critical Movie Critics

I think we can all agree that Pete and Debbie from “Knocked Up” stole the show from Ben and Alison when they were on-screen together. So why not give them their own project? It comes in the form of This is 40 and the premise is . . . you guessed it, a change of life when the leads hit the age of 40. Unfortunately, the trailer for the Universal Studios flick is light on the laughs — something particularly troubling since it comes from the mind of Judd Apatow. If having Paul Rudd laying naked on his back with legs raised high asking Leslie Mann to look at something in his taint region is the best the film has to offer, well, then this may be one to skip. Let’s hope subsequent trailers are funnier.
