The first trailer for Jack Reacher didn’t amount to much, but the second one, which was released today by Paramount Pictures, does. A more flavorful taste of the plot is revealed and along with it a healthy dose of tough guy talk and action that backs it up. Tom Cruise plays the cool titular character who blurs the line of right and wrong when investigating for the truth. Based on the book “One Shot” of a running novel series (17 to date), Jack is out for answers when a military sniper is wrongly convicted for murder. If this does well, expect a franchise to born.

Even if it is only marginally successful a new franchise will be born.

Doesn’t look any better than any other military sleuth action flick.

Tom Cruise is NOT Jack Reacher.

He is nearly a foot shorter than the description in the book!

Better trailer than the teaser but this still does not look like a Lee Child’s influenced movie.

Not the biggest Cruise fan but this looks good for mild entertainment. Might even read the books if it plays better than my expectations tell me it will.

I don’t feel the need to rush out the door to catch this at the multiplex. It’ll probably be good for a Netflix stream though.

Tom Cruise churns out the same shit. He is no longer a relevant box office draw.

Ghost Protocol made over $600,000 in worldwide box office receipts. I’d say that still makes him a bankable commodity.
