Nothing spells vacation like taking a tour of abandoned, radioactive towns in Russia. From the mind of Oren Peli (he brought you “Paranormal Activity“) comes his latest horror flick that, even though the title Chernobyl Diaries lends itself to a found footage flick, isn’t a found footage flick. It may as well be as it follows six tourists as they are hunted one by one in the deserted city of Pripyat. Although, you won’t see them in the trailer, I’m betting there are more than a few radioactive, carnivorous mutations that very much like the taste of human flesh to be found in the movie.
Chernobyl Diaries stars Jonathan Sadowski, Jesse McCartney, Devin Kelley, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Nathan Phillips, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Dimitri Diatchenko.
Chernobyl Diaries suffocates US theaters on May 25, 2012.

Who the hell goes to a dead, radioactive ghost town on vacation? They deserve what’s coming to them.
