In the hands of an ordinary director, the hype surrounding Prometheus would amount to nothing more than a blip on the radar screen. In the hands of Ridley Scott, the man responsible for one of the best sci-fi horror flicks made (Alien), there is a tsunami of interest. In his latest, he explores the origin of life on Earth through the eyes of a team of scientists. Problem is during their search, which takes them to the farthest reaches of the universe, what may have spawned us life may not be friendly. See the anticipated trailer below — just don’t expect it to divulge many details as it raises more questions than it answers!
Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce and Logan Marshall-Green.
Prometheus envelops UK theaters on June 1, 2012 and US theaters on June 8, 2012.

The trailer, unfortunately does nothing for the movie. My excitement is to see Ridley Scott return to science fiction and see what new he has imagined.
