Movie Trailer #2: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

I simply don’t care what the overall premise is for Warner Bros.’ upcoming apocalyptic reblend, Mad Max: Fury Road. And after watching this latest trailer, I don’t think the studio cares much either. Front and center is two minutes of what may amount to be some of the craziest desert chase action sequences ever captured on film. Caught in the middle of the explosions, flipping cars and dust storms is Tom Hardy (taking the reins from Mel Gibson) as Max as he tries to escape the clutches of new-world despot, Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). It’s a great way to hype and already hyped film. Check it out!

Official Synopsis:
Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth film of George Miller’s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise and is co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max (Tom Hardy), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos and Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Mad Max: Fury Road restores order to UK theaters on May 14, 2015 and US theaters on May 15, 2015.

Action is great but I hope the rest of the movie isn’t going to be a total dropoff.

Is there a plot to care about? From the looks of it it’s going to be a 2 hour long, high impact, bloody car chase!

Mel who? If this is half as good as it looks, everything Gibson did will be forgotten

I think Tom Hardy is a fine replacement but there’s no dismissing Gibson or the three movies he’s done as Max.

This may be the craziest trailer I’ve ever seen! I’m especially fond of the flamethrowing guitar player jamming in front of a tower of speakers that would make Spinal Tap jealous. That’s leaving no stone unturned.
