The game has come to the end. I’m sure you can guess by now whether the winner will be President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the Capital or the 13 Districts led by Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), but nonetheless, watching it finally unfold in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will be a sight to see. The Capital is now the playing field and as this latest trailer shows it is littered with every trap imaginable to stop the advancing armies of the districts from reaching the steps of the elite. It seems a fitting way to end the story that saw a tyrannical government that prided itself on excess fall in the same manner in which it insisted its citizens fight to the death for its amusement. Looks like in trying to maximize profit, they scrimped on the effects budget.

As much as I’ve enjoyed the movies and seeing Jennifer Lawrence become a mega-star, I’m still happy to see this finally come to an end.

Come to an end you say? There will never be an end. As I type this Lionsgate is working on the prequels.

I hope they don’t water it down. This last half should be more violent and intense than the previous installments

The YA in the theater can’t be exposed to the real shit Suzanne Collins wrote so they’ll PG-13 it like the others. The violence will be implied or skirted with wide or/and carefully placed shots .
