En route to getting a haircut in his seductive stretch limo, a young playboy billionaire witnesses his life get threatened, his personal worth precipitously drop after a risky bet and all sorts of anarchistic demonstrations in the streets. If you ask me, that’s just New York City. For David Cronenberg there’s a thread connecting it all. What that thread is, I don’t really know. What I do know is if you think it is to be found in the embedded trailer for Cosmopolis you’d be wrong. It does, however, provide a cool, bizarre setup that may be good to ride along with.
Cosmopolis stars Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon, Kevin Durand and Jay Baruchel.
Cosmopolis roams to US theaters on August 17, 2012 and UK theaters on June 15, 2012.

I like Cronenberg, therefore I’m certain the finished product will make lots more sense than this trailer does.

Sadly every time I see Robert Pattinson’s face I think Twilight. For me he’s been forever typecast as a glittery, quasi-faggot vampire. Oh well.
