Epic in wonderment comes the forbidden love story entwined within an undersea war, Empires of the Deep. Unfortunately for China Film Group, the amazement comes from the fact that the movie was even made as it has long been fraught with production over-runs and directing/casting desertions. A taste of those speedbumps can be seen in the first theatrical trailer for the movie and it’s not pretty to look at. The effects are well short of expectations and Olga Kurylenko — while looking good — fails as, what I’m guessing, is the Queen of Mermaids. Check it out . . . or don’t.
Empires of the Deep stars Olga Kurylenko, Steve Polites, Liang Yanfei, Maxx Maulion and Jean-Michel Casanova.
Empires of the Deep has no US or UK release dates yet.

Who is responsible for the CGI? Probably rightfully so, but there is no mention of the crew on IMDb.

Any movie with Olga Kurylenko as the star of the show is a movie to not watch.

Incredible that $130+ million has been spent on what looks like a YouTube project.
