Marty’s friends have a lucrative scam going. They kidnap people’s dogs and return them several days later for reward money. No harm, no foul, right? Wrong. When they liberate the beloved Shih Tzu from a local gangster, they find themselves in a world of shit and Marty, unfortunately, finds himself knee deep in it too. Those friends and that world of shit looks offbeat and funny as hell though, as can be seen in the below trailer for Seven Psychopaths. The vibe is very much like the irreverent gangster flick “In Bruges” but that should come as no surprise as this Martin McDonagh’s second effort at writing and directing. See for yourself in the embedded player.
Seven Psychopaths stars Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Olga Kurylenko, Abbie Cornish and Sam Rockwell.
Seven Psychopaths scams US theaters on October 12, 2012.

I loved the hip vibe of In Bruges almost as much as I love Colin Farrell. Seven Psychopaths is a win-win for me!

Christopher Walken is the best.

What’s with the guy with the rabbit? Does adding stranger characters to the mix make the mix better?

Like all of Diablo Cody’s efforts after Juno, this feels like Martin McDonagh is trying too hard to recreate what he did with In Bruges.
