Movie Trailer: The Expendables 3 (2014)

So long as there are aging action stars looking to hold onto a piece of their heyday or UFC/WWE wrestlers looking to make a name for themselves, the Expendables franchise will never stop. In The Expendables 3 there are plenty of both to go along with the explosions, bullets, punches, kicks and extremely bad dialogue. The trailer hints at a plot I think, but the inclusion of one is most certainly an afterthought just as it was in the first two installments. The mayhem is the draw, and there is plenty on display — watch in the embedded trailer if you don’t believe me.

The Expendables 3 stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammer and Randy Couture.

Official Synopsis:
Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill . . . or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.

The Expendables 3 explodes in US theaters on August 15, 2014 and UK theaters on August 14, 2014.

How do you take a movie like htis seriously? Where is the effort–it looks like it was written in a day and filmed in two.

You don’t. It is all in good, mindless fun. Not every movie has to be an Oscar contender.

Credit to Stallone, by churning this shit out its clear he doesn’t give a damn what the critics say about him.

It’s clear he doesn’t care about the audience either.
