Just in time for the presidential election in the United States comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Campaign. The satirical comedy pits suave incumbent congressman Cam Brady against Marty Huggins, a simple guy who works at the state Tourism Center. As is par for course in American politics, the race gets ugly — and when I say ugly, I mean downright dirty. Each tries to one up the other in more ridiculous fashion as they criss-cross North Carolina stumping for votes. The trailer below is full of typical Will Ferrell-isms but there are a few scenes that stand out and are laugh out loud funny.
The Campaign stars Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Sudeikis, Katherine LaNasa, Brian Cox, Dylan McDermott, Dan Aykroyd and John Lithgow.
The Campaign airs the dirty laundry of US theaters on August 10, 2012 and UK theaters on September 28, 2012.

This could go either way – extremely stupid or satirically funny. I’m willing to bet its going to be the former.

looks like a topic worth poking fun at.
