With all of our advances in engineering and science, why haven’t we been back to the moon? The upcoming movie Apollo 18 offers up a reason. Aliens. From the first theatrical trailer for the film we see there was a secret mission after Apollo 17, which ended . . . mysteriously. Pieced together from archival footage of the mission, Apollo 18 preys upon the the fear of isolation, the unknown and that those that we share the universe with may not be friendly. I’ll need to see more, but this has a chance to offer up some genuine scares.
Apollo 18 stars Erica Carroll, Warren Christie, Lloyd Owen, Ryan Robbins and Ali Liebert.
Apollo 18 lands in US and UK theaters on September 2, 2011.
