He may be my least favorite Avenger (or was that Iron Man?) but Captain America is looking good. Fighting daily for freedom across the globe can keep the body in shape but as audiences find out in the trailer for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it tires the mind — especially when it doesn’t agree with the rise of the industrial military complex. Of course when a new villain, known as The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), presents himself, Captain America must refocus, and with the help of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the agents of SHIELD led by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), he must once again save the world. Along with the rock solid visual effects (an expected staple these days), it looks like there could be some deeper themes presenting themselves about the world we live in today. Give the trailer a watch, now!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo and Emily VanCamp.
Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier fights for freedom in US theaters on April 4, 2014 and UK theaters on March 28, 2014.
