Movie Trailer: Gravity (2013)

“No one can hear you scream in space.” That tagline (or something along those lines) belongs to another movie, but it also applies to Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming science-fiction thriller Gravity. It spotlights the life and death struggle of two astronauts — played by Sandra Bullock and George Clooney — who are stuck in space after a piece of debris destroys the shuttle they are assigned to. The trailer below, courtesy of Warner Bros., basically showcases the scene of impact and I must say it is an intense minute of film. If Cuarón is able to maintain this level of heightened intensity for the rest of the film, it is going to be damned good (especially in IMAX). Embedded is the trailer for the film, check it out for yourself!

Gravity stars Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Ed Harris, Basher Savage and Eric Michels.

Official Synopsis:
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth … and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Gravity spacewalks into US theaters on October 4, 2013 and UK theaters on October 18, 2013.

The tagline you reference is “In space no one can hear you scream” and it was for ‘Alien.’
