Party time just got serious. And that’s putting it mildly as some very strange time-shifting, alternate world stuff is going on in the upcoming IFC Midnight film +1. Basically, during a massive university party with more than its fair share of drugs, alcohol and loose girls (why weren’t the frat parties I went to this awesome?) an otherworldly event occurs causing some a time/space continuum rift that has events that occurred just hours before replaying right in front of the people that just experienced those events. This could be construed as a good thing, especially for David (Rhys Wakefield) as he’s been caught kissing another girl by his girlfriend. Of course, I’m betting this is a bad thing as interactions with past manifestations of oneself must have consequences (plus Dennis Iliadis likes to direct darker subject matters). See for yourself in the embedded trailer.
+1 stars Rhys Wakefield, Ashley Hinshaw, Natalie Hall, Logan Miller, Marla Malcolm, Rhoda Griffis and April Billingsley.
Three college friends go to the biggest party of the year, each looking for something different: love, sex and a simple human connection. When a mysterious phenomenon disrupts the party, it lights a fuse on what will become the strangest night anyone has ever seen. As the three friends struggle to find what they’re looking for, the party quickly descends into a chaos that challenges if they can stay friends or if they can even stay alive.
+1 ruins a good party in US theaters on September 20, 2013.
