Movie Trailer: One for the Money (2012)

A guilty pleasure of mine is watching “Jersey Shore.” Another is watching Katherine Heigl. She puts her curves and flightiness (the reasons she is one of my pleasures) center stage again in Lionsgate’s new actiony rom-com One for the Money. Based on a long running mystery series written by Janet Evanovich, Heigl tackles the role of the heroine, Stephanie Plum, an out of work divorcĂ©e who finds a job as a collector at a bail bonds agency. Her first case? Rounding up an ex-boyfriend.

One for the Money stars Katherine Heigl, Jason O’Mara, Daniel Sunjata, John Leguizamo, Debbie Reynolds and Sherri Shepherd.

I love the books..Always have but this movie is ridiculous!!!! All the wrong cast members none of them even match the book at all..Stephanie isnt a red head duh! Grandma should have been betty white..Monique should have been lola..The rock as Ranger..And an italian man as morelli..What the sam hill happened..This movie will be a huge flop! I hate it already and I havent seen it and most likely I wont either..so sad

I agree with Nilsa, very poor casting. We have decided to wait and rent this and save our theater money for a better film. (An Irishman playing an Italian character????)

I’ve read all 18 books plus the Between the Plums several times and I’m not confident about this movie! I’m on the fence about watching it because I have my own version in my mind. Janet Evanovich is such a visual writer…it’s easy to envision the books as you read them. Hollywood can’t live up to that!
