If we’re to infer anything from the latest trailer for Thor: The Dark World it’s that brawn alone cannot save the universe from its latest threat. Aside from some very impressive action shots and wonderful views of Asgard, the trailer applies more spotlight to the fact Thor (Chris Hemsworth) needs his power-hungry brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and help from his human love interest Jane (Natalie Portman) to beat the dark forces of Malekith (Christopher Eccleston). See for yourself and you may agree this may be the 2013 superhero movie to eclipse “Man of Steel.” I’m almost a believer.
Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Anthony Hopkins, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo and Ray Stevenson.

Loki. He’ll be the only good aspect to this sequel.

Looking forward to the inventive way he betrays Thor.

Looks much better than the first at least.

Thor doesn’t belong in the Marvel universe. Never did, never will.

I can you see point since Stan Lee didn’t dream him up but Thor is a superhero of sorts. And adding him to the Marvel universe opens – with good explanation – many doors for storylines.

Natalie Portman sticks out like a sore thumb. She should have been killed off so as to not continue with the horrible miscasting.

Is that the Enterprise that crashes into the hall around the 1:45 mark? Now that would be an awesome series crossover!

Did Thor always have an Australian accent?

He uses it to swoon the American girls.

“This is for New York.” Slap. That bit of underwhelming acting just made me think I’ll be better off seeing something else in November.

You think Natalie Portman can do better? If you’ve watched the Star Wars prequels you would know this is the best she can do.

I’m so excited for this and I appreciate the fact they didn’t spoil the movie by giving up the major plot points with the trailers!

I’m wondering if any of the avengers will make a cameo…
