I’ll be the first to say the 2012 Tom Cruise actioner, “Jack Reacher” was a pleasant surprise. So much so that I wouldn’t have minded a sequel. Well, Paramount Pictures has delivered that sequel with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. In the first trailer (provided by Paramount Pictures), Reacher’s (Tom Cruise reprising) tough guy bravado is amplified 50-fold — he is quite literally beating multiple people to a pulp in almost every scene. The reason for his anger this time around is his former unit head Major Turner (Cobie Smulders) is being framed for espionage and he too is being setup to take the fall for a 20-year-old crime. Watch the action unfold in the embedded trailer and try not to be impressed that a 53-year-old Cruise is doing 98% of the what you see himself.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Robert Knepper, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Teri Wyble.
Official Synopsis:
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back follows the title character as he returns to Virginia to meet the head of his former unit. But she’s missing, he’s being charged with a crime committed nearly 20 years ago, and he may even have a daughter. Making things right will lead him on a cross-country chase to uncover the truth – and maybe even a family.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back infiltrates in US and UK theaters on October 21, 2016.

All these action ‘heroes’ look alike now.

Tom Cruise ain’t the Jack Reacher described in the books but he’s done an alright job trying to fill the shoes. He carries himself much larger than he really is.

Looks good to me. I never get enough of the lone wolf righting the wrongs while defying the laws of the universe action movie.

More of the same. I’m in like Flynn – bring it on!

I like the new action/sci-fi hero Tom Cruise as the next guy and I have every plan to see this, but he hasn’t done a dramatic role in 10 years. The guy deserves an Oscar for what he can do in a movie that doesn’t rely on explosions, stunts and green screens and the more of those he does lessen his chances of getting the gold.

Cool, although car windows are manufactured to not break like that.

There’s a lot of arcs in this – search for and help Cobie, clear his name, reunite with a long lost daughter and beat the crap out of everyone in between? Something’s got to give (and it won’t be the fighting).
