Movie Trailers: Muppets Most Wanted (2014)

They say everyone has a twin (or something along those lines) and that fact is at the heart of Disney’s new Muppet movie, Muppets Most Wanted. Kermit the Frog, we find, has a look alike — save for a birthmark on the right cheek — in Constantine, the worlds most elusive thief. Hilarity, as the two full length trailers released today (one domestic, the other international), ensues as Kermit is of course mistaken for the frog-burglar during a Muppet fan-appreciation tour of Europe. Both, now finding themselves in uncharted territory (Kermit in jail and Constantine in charge of the insanity that is The Muppet Show), must make the best of their oh-so ridiculous situations. The trailers don’t have the nostalgic charm “The Muppets” possessed but it’s still good to see Henson’s zany creations in action.

Muppets Most Wanted stars Tom Hiddleston, Salma Hayek, Lady Gaga, Christoph Waltz, Danny Trejo, Zach Galifianakis, Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell.

The International Trailer

Official Synopsis:
Muppets Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine — the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit — and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais.

Muppets Most Wanted steals from US theaters on March 21, 2014 and UK theaters on March 28, 2014.

I am convinced the world is a better a place when the Muppets are active participants in it.

    1) Take a movie cliche
    2) Add Muppets
    3) Get paid

“It’s not easy being mean.” Can’t be easy being a frog in a man’s world either.

The best part about these movies is the top-tier acting talent they get onboard who are willing to join in the craziness and many times make fun of themselves in.

I like Tina Fey even more now that I know she can do a sexy Russian accent at will.
